## Why Choose a Full Kitchen Respray?

A full kitchen respray is the most cost-effective way to completely transform your kitchen. We respray every visible surface — cabinet doors, drawer fronts, end panels, plinths, and cornices — in any colour and finish you choose. The result is indistinguishable from a brand new kitchen.

Unlike a full kitchen replacement that costs £15,000–£30,000 and takes weeks of disruptive building work, a kitchen respray starts from just **£1,900** and is completed in just **5 working days**. Your existing cabinetry stays in place — we simply transform its appearance with a factory-quality spray finish.

We are City & Guilds qualified and use specialist spray equipment with Renner water-based professional coatings designed specifically for kitchen cabinetry. Every full kitchen respray comes with a **5-year written guarantee** and includes a free colour consultation.

- Any colour from any brand — Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, RAL
- Matt, satin, or gloss finish
- Renner water-based professional coatings
- Completed in just 5 working days
- 5-year written guarantee included
- Saves up to 70% vs full kitchen replacement

## What a Full Kitchen Respray Actually Involves

A full kitchen respray is a complete refinishing of every visible surface of your existing kitchen furniture. That means cabinet doors, drawer fronts, end panels, plinths, cornices, pelmets, open shelving and island units — all stripped back, prepared and recoated in the colour and sheen level you choose. Nothing is ripped out, no walls are touched, and your worktops, appliances, plumbing and electrics all stay exactly where they are. The carcasses that hold your kitchen together are usually in perfect condition; it is only the finish on the outside that dates a kitchen, and that is precisely what we replace.

The work is carried out in your home by City & Guilds qualified sprayers. We mask and protect the whole room, set up extraction and dust control, and use specialist spray equipment with Renner water-based professional coatings — the same family of products used by kitchen manufacturers on factory production lines. The result is a smooth, even, brush-mark-free finish that looks like it came out of a factory rather than out of a tin.

Most London kitchens are completed in five working days from start to finish. You keep the use of your kettle, fridge and sink for most of that time, and there is no skip outside, no ripped-up flooring and no weeks of building work. For homeowners in flats, conversions and terraced houses where access is tight and a full refit would mean serious disruption, a respray is by far the least invasive route to a new-looking kitchen.

## Our Five-Day Kitchen Respray Process, Step by Step

Day one is preparation, and it is the stage that decides how long the finish lasts. We remove doors and drawer fronts, label every component so it goes back in the right place, take off handles, and then degrease every surface to strip out cooking oils, silicone residue and old polish. Any chips, dents or damaged edges are filled and made good. The whole kitchen is then keyed by hand and machine so the primer has a mechanical grip to bond to.

Day two is masking and priming. Floors, walls, worktops, appliances, sockets and glass are fully protected before a single coat is applied. We then spray an adhesion primer suited to your substrate — solid timber, MDF, veneer, laminate, melamine and vinyl-wrapped doors all behave differently, and choosing the wrong primer is the single most common reason a DIY or trade paint job fails within a year.

Days three and four are denibbing and topcoats. The primer is flatted back to remove any raised grain or dust nibs, then multiple thin topcoats of Renner water-based coating are applied in matt, satin or gloss. Thin coats sprayed in sequence give a far harder, more even film than one heavy coat, and they cure without the runs and sags you get from brushwork.

Day five is curing, reassembly and handover. Doors and drawers go back on their original hinges, alignment is checked and adjusted, handles are refitted or new ones installed, and the room is cleaned down and handed back to you. We walk the kitchen with you before we leave and issue your five-year written guarantee.

## Colours, Finishes and Design Advice

You are not limited to a manufacturer's swatch. We colour-match to any brand — Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Dulux Heritage, Mylands or any RAL or NCS reference — so the kitchen can be tied into the rest of your interior rather than fighting it. If you have a fabric, tile or worktop sample you want to work around, bring it to the consultation and we will match to it.

Sheen level matters as much as colour. Matt reads soft and contemporary and hides surface irregularities well, but shows fingerprints more readily on high-traffic doors. Satin is the most popular choice in London homes because it wipes clean easily while still looking understated. Gloss maximises reflected light, which is genuinely useful in a narrow galley kitchen or a basement conversion with limited natural daylight.

Two-tone schemes remain the strongest trend we see: a deep navy, forest green or charcoal on base units and the island, with a lighter neutral above. It adds depth without making a small room feel closed in. If you would prefer to change only part of the kitchen, our cabinet door spraying service covers targeted work.

## Cost, Value and How We Price

A full kitchen respray in London starts from £1,900, with most projects landing between £1,900 and £4,100 depending on the number of doors and drawers, the complexity of the units, whether an island and open shelving are included, and the condition of the existing finish. A replacement kitchen of equivalent quality typically costs £15,000 to £30,000 once fitting, worktops, tiling and making good are included.

Every estimate is free and fixed before work begins. We look at the kitchen, count the components, check the substrate and confirm the colour, then give you a written price with no day-rate creep. There is no charge for the colour consultation and no obligation to proceed.

Resale value is worth mentioning. Estate agents consistently rate the kitchen as the single room with the largest influence on a buyer's first impression. A tired but structurally sound kitchen that presents as new is one of the cheapest ways to lift a property's perceived value before a sale or a rental listing.

## Durability, Aftercare and Guarantee

Renner water-based coatings are formulated for kitchen cabinetry, which means they are built to survive steam, splashes, cleaning products and daily knocks. They are low-odour and low-VOC, so the house is liveable during the work and there is no lingering solvent smell afterwards — a meaningful difference for families with young children or pets.

The coating reaches handling hardness within days and continues to cure over the following two to three weeks. During that period we ask you to wipe gently with a soft damp cloth, avoid abrasive creams and bleach-based sprays, and keep heavy items from being dragged across surfaces. After full cure, normal kitchen cleaning is all that is needed.

Every full kitchen respray carries a five-year written guarantee against peeling, flaking and delamination. We have completed over 500 kitchens across London and our work is backed by more than 400 reviews from homeowners in Chelsea, Fulham, Richmond, Islington and beyond.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### How long does a full kitchen respray take?

Most London kitchens are completed in five working days, covering preparation, priming, topcoats, curing and reassembly. Very large kitchens with islands and extensive open shelving may take slightly longer, and we confirm the timeline in your written estimate.

### How much does a full kitchen respray cost in London?

Prices start from £1,900, with most projects between £1,900 and £4,100 depending on the number of doors and drawers, unit complexity and the condition of the existing finish. Estimates are free and fixed before work begins.

### Can I use my kitchen while the work is going on?

Yes, for most of the project. Doors and drawer fronts are removed for spraying, so you retain access to the interiors, sink, fridge and kettle. We will let you know the short window where access is restricted.

### Will a resprayed kitchen chip or peel?

Not when it is prepared and coated correctly. Failures almost always come from skipped degreasing or the wrong primer. We use Renner water-based professional coatings over a substrate-matched adhesion primer and back the work with a five-year written guarantee.

### Can you match any colour?

Yes. We colour-match to Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Dulux Heritage, Mylands, and any RAL or NCS reference, in matt, satin or gloss.

### Do you spray laminate and vinyl-wrapped doors?

Yes. Laminate, melamine, vinyl-wrapped, MDF, veneer and solid timber can all be sprayed successfully, provided the correct adhesion primer is used for that substrate. We identify this at the estimate stage.
